On 16th and 17th of August 2015, Innovative System and Instrumentation (ISI) group in School of Aerospace Engineering supervised by Dr. Elmi Abu Bakar was selected as finalist in Innovate Malaysia contest. Control system team in ISI involved by final year students is presenting their project title “Automatic Fuel Tuner for Fuel Injection Engine” for Keysight track. Each of team presents the project based on their track such as Keysight, National Instrument, Math Work and more. On the first day, Innovate Malaysia Design Conference held in Nexus Connexion, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.

Opening speech by MOHE representatives and keynotes by Scott Rust, tiltle “Engaging the future generation of innovators with STEM”. It was followed by Keysight based team presentation. Shahrul Nizam (4th year) and Faiz Azizi (2nd year) is presenting the project on how the controller is works. Furthermore, this event is continuous of final year project of the student as well in order to get advantages on soft skills and research exposure. Basically, the prototype control the fuel injection on motorcycle engine in order to ensure the engine is running at good combustion mixture to avoid harmful gas emission from the exhaust. Consolation prized valued RM500 is awarded to the team as their project is selected for finalist. The students involves was exposed to conference presentation which is important for them to gain their experience in research and publishing a paper.
