Thursday, 3 November 2016 - Student of class ESA 481 (Spacecraft Design) has presented their project named Voyage HAB in Preliminary Design Review (PDR) to a set of judges, experts among the lecturers from different fields including electrical and electronics, system control, composite and space technology. The PDR presentation covers the description of the missions, the mission objectives and requirements and the mission architecture.
It also demonstrates that the preliminary design meets all system requirements with acceptable risk and within the cost and schedule constraints and establishes the basis for proceeding with detailed design. It will show that the correct design options have been selected, interfaces have been identified, and verification methods have been described.VOYAGE HAB aims to deliver 3 missions;
i)to fly school student’s experiment
ii) to gather 360° video footage at stratosphere
iii) to conduct experiment on the performance of solar cell at different altitudes.
The outcome of our PDR involves invaluable feedback for changes and improvements towards the final design. The progress of this project can be found in https://voyagehab.wordpress.com
