NIBONG TEBAL, 26 February 2024 — The Engineering Campus of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) witnessed a moment of pride and celebration as the Director, Professor Datin Dr. Azlina Harun @ Kamaruddin commemorated the success of graduates from the Aerospace Business Unit (A.B.U.) in an unforgettable convocation ceremony.
In her welcoming address, Professor Datin Dr. Azlina, expressed immense pride and joy in commemorating this significant milestone and congratulated the graduates on their commitment and hard work.
She also acknowledged the dedication and perseverance of them, as a group of talented professionals, that led to the successful completion of their academic journey in Executive Diploma for Operational & Management in Manufacturing Industry (EDOMM) and Professional Diploma in Electronics & Automation with Equipment Handling for Manufacturing (PDEAM).
“The partnership between USM and Analog Devices Sdn. Bhd. was recognized and praised for its contribution to nurturing industrial talents.
“This collaboration is envisioned to enhance creativity and innovation within the aerospace sector, and I conveyed gratitude to Analog Devices Sdn. Bhd. for choosing USM as their cooperation partner,” she said.
“For A.B.U, thank you for your relentless efforts in providing knowledge and expertise to the community as well as commitment to shaping the futures of the graduates,” she added.
As mentioned by the Dean of the school, Professor Dr. Farzad Ismail, the Aerospace team provides graduates with a competitive edge in the industrial landscape through upskilling processes, enhancing both technical and non-technical capabilities to meet the evolving expectations of the manufacturing industry.
“Your passion for innovation, technology, and lifelong learning will later positions each of you as leaders in the chosen profession,” he said.
“On top of that, we would like to encourage you to utilize this knowledge for the greater good, contributing to the improvement of your organizations and elevating yourselves as individuals and team players.
“With your extensive working experience complemented by the relevant knowledge, nous, and skills acquired through these programs, you are now, well-equipped to meet the aspirations of the modern manufacturing industry,” says Professor Dr. Farzad.
Meanwhile, Human Resources Manager of Analog Devices Sdn. Bhd., Ms. Shaidatul Akhmar Abdullah, representing the Managing Director, thanked USM upon the opportunity in making sure the program is efficiently conducted.
“Your professionalism in helping our employees to improve their technical proficiency is highly appreciated,” tells Shaidatul.
Graduated during this ceremony were the second batch of PDEAM and the first batch of EDOMM.
